Answers
1. How are IRP solutions implemented?
Typically, clients implement IRP systems in 90 to 120 days. IRP’s technical staff assists each client throughout data migration, system installation, testing and training. IRP provides dedicated project management and account management services to ensure minimum disruption.
2. How do I get upgrades?
Using IRP’s application service provider (ASP) model, all upgrades are implemented transparently to the user. No database conversions and no user interface conversions are required. There is no software to install and no IRP hardware upgrades. It’s all handled at our data centers. You simply access IRP via the Internet using a web browser.
3. How do I access my data?
IRP has several mechanisms to extract your mission critical data. In addition to online Internet access, you can run ad-hoc reports or select from standard reports provided by IRP. Additionally, you can extract provider and fee schedule data via the Internet. Several data formats are available.
4. How does IRP charge for its services?
IRP offers qualified, tiered-per-claim pricing or PEPM. As an ASP, we maintain the software, data center hardware, networking and database licenses. Our clients do not have to purchase servers, database licenses, or data center space.
5. Is training available for my staff?
Yes. We usually lead training sessions in the first several weeks.
6. Are IRP solutions secure? How
IRP uses HIPAA-compliant 128-bit encryption and authentication technologies to ensure that unauthorized users cannot access your data.
7. Can other network users access our private contracts on your system?
A: No. IRP’s proprietary, tiered-access control system prohibits unauthorized entities--including other network users--from accessing your organization’s data.
8. How does my organization send claims through IRP’s clearinghouse for processing?
Small claim volumes are typically entered and repriced via the Internet. Larger batches can be transmitted in a wide variety of formats of EDI. These claims are transmitted via FTP using PGP key exchange encryption or SFTP. This answer applies to Claimshop.
9. How often can I check the status of a claim?
Our online help desk is always available to authorized users who need to check the status of a claim. You can also recreate HCFAs and UBs online at anytime.
